Yong tau foo @ Puchong Yong Tau Foo

We heard about this yong tau foo place from the papers and from blogs. So we decided to try it.

The place is simply called 'Puchong Yong Tau Foo'. It is quite deep in Puchong - the 14th Mile, to be exact. But no worries - i am not recommending you to try it out!!!

The novelty of the place is that the food is only stuffed after you have chosen it. The idea is that it is freshly cooked. And people have said that the stuffing is done generously.

I beg to differ. The stuffings were far from generous. For RM1 a piece, it sure was not worth it. The taste was nothing extraordinary too. Just go to your neighbourhood yong tau foo stall and it will not be that much different.

Blue cheese burger @ Tony Romas, Sunway Pyramid

We went there as a farewell for some of the students opting to go to the UK for 2nd year. Initially we were supposed to go to Fridays but it was full. So we ended up here - quite reluctantly for me! The only thing good about Tony Romas (i've been told) is it's pork ribs. But they dun have that in the local outlets here.

So i settled for this burger. Wasn't that bad. For one, it was big enuf to satisfy me! Almost had difficulties biting into it. Secondly, i loved the cheese. Nice!

But with almost every other gourmet burger that i have eaten in M'sia, it was just too well done - and ended up being rather dry. This was even when i specified i wanted it medium. Maybe i should ask for medium rare next time?
